Temple Israel, of Springfield, Missouri, is a Reform synagogue affiliated with the Union for Reform Judaism. We are dedicated to providing a place to pray and make community on Shabbat and other sacred days of the year, and when we make the important times of our individual and family lives. We provide a continuing learning environment so that individuals and families, children and adults, may study and learn about our Jewish culture, heritage, and language. We strive to be a synagogue that provides a Jewish presence into the larger community with social action projects, interfaith coalitions and tzedakah. We are participants of the Reform movement utilizing the resources available to us from the larger Jewish community, as well as recognizing the importance of Am Israel and Eretz Israel to us as Jews in the Ozarks. Our goal is to maintain Temple Israel as a caring place to celebrate being Jewish while building our Jewish future together.
